JUST GRANTS! Arizona Grantsmanship Academy
For years, the professionals at JUST GRANTS! Arizona have been developing, testing, and refining the "Five Rules of the Grantsmanship Game" - the five fundamental, underlying, nonnegotiable principles on which an organization's grantseeking effort must be founded for long - term success. Everything we teach in the field of grantsmanship is built on and deeply rooted in these same five principles. And we have seen, over and over and over again, the dramatic, often seemingly miraculous success that our graduates experience in their grantseeking efforts when they understand these principles deeply and apply them with intention, consistency, and power.
There's no mystery or magic about it: This is what works.
We believe so strongly in the Five Rules that we have restructured our entire training curriculum to ensure that everyone who takes training through JUST GRANTS! Arizona leaves with a solid grounding in these five grantsmanship "Essentials." Starting in spring 2005, our newly - reformulated JUST GRANTS! Arizona Grantsmanship Academy offers three distinct and related coursework series, organized for individuals with differing skill levels, different needs and different levels of professional interest in successful grantsmanship:
The Essentials Series
The courses in the JUST GRANTS! Arizona "Essentials" series offer participants the opportunity to become familiar with and practice using the Five Rules in a variety of workshop lengths ranging from three hours to six weeks. Not to be confused with a "Beginning Grantsmanship" or "Grants 101" - type program, these are rigorous, fast - paced courses designed for grants novices and veterans alike. The "Grantsmanship Essentials" series will show you a new, powerful way to think about your role in the grants field; new, powerful strategies for organizing and managing a successful grants effort; and new, powerful tools for winning corporate, foundation, and government dollars to support your organization's work in the world.
Who Should Attend: "Essentials " classes are ideal for staff members and/or volunteers with a direct involvement in the organization's grantseeking efforts, either as novices or as grants veterans. They are also ideal for board members, administrative staff, and others who, while not directly responsible for the grants function, do serve a supporting role or could benefit from a solid understanding of the grantsmanship process.
Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for any "Essentials" series workshop. You may take one, all, or any combination, depending on your readiness to commit the time and effort.
Offerings: "Essentials" courses range from our three - hour "Introduction and Overview" class to our six - week, 21 - hour "Principles and Practice" certificate course. Please click here for a complete list of our current offerings in the "Essentials" series.
The Practitioner Series
When you have started using the "Essentials" tools and seen how they can work for you, your organization, and your community, then you are ready for our "Practitioner" series. The offerings in the "Practitioner" series build on the "Essentials" principles, deepening your base of grants - related expertise and enhancing your proficiency in topics of special professional or personal interest. Choose any of our half - day single sessions; or sign up for the complete six - workshop series, and save.
Who Should Attend: Depending on the topic, "Practitioner" courses are intended for hands - on grant professionals, organization staff, executive directors and board members with at least a basic understanding of the principles of successful grantsmanship.
Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites. However, it is strongly recommended that you attend an "Essentials" class before registering for a "Practitioner" workshop.
Offerings: "Practitioner" courses offer a mix of half - day and full - day classes that can be taken individually or in a special six - session series. Please click here for a complete list of our current offerings in the "Practitioner" series.
